Hello, soon to be best friend. Mi nombre es Dora... I mean, Matt Ockmond. I grew up in south Louisiana...mostly in Vacherie and Thibodaux. I went to college at Nicholls State University and Oxford (as long as you don’t tell anybody I said that.) Thanks to my various business ventures I became a dollar menunaire™ in late 2008. You can hear me pretending to know what I talk about, and mocking others to make me feel better about myself every weekday from 6-9 AM right here on 100.7 the Tiger. 

Matt Ockmond is just my on-air name. If you see me on the street, you can call me by the name my mother gave me, Gurn Blanston. After you do that, please give me any spare change you have. I promise I won’t spend it on booze (as long as you don’t tell anybody I said that.) My claims to fame are I once told Dave Coulier where the Coke™ machine was, and I’m one of those guys that John Rich punched. I'’ve been at New Country 100.7 the Tiger since 2007 (as long as you don’t tell anybody I said that.)
